Military expert Oleh Zhdanov estimated the likelihood of an attack by Belarus, which is currently drawing up special forces to the border with Ukraine, Volyn and Lviv region.
He stated this on the air of the All-Ukrainian information telethon.
“I would go back to estimating the probability of this 50 to 50. Because the troops are still advancing to our border, especially special operations forces and occupying operational areas there. Lukashenko’s statements are in one direction, and the troops are moving in our direction. Therefore, we should not ignore this factor and be ready for the meeting of the Belarusian army”, – he said.

“When russian troops begin to exhale in the Izium direction, then putin will have to fill the operational pause with something while he gathers the next reserves for entry into Ukraine. This will be the most tense and dangerous period”, – he explained.
According to Zhdanov, the threat to the unrecognized Transnistria will depend on the situation on Snake Island, as it has become a stronghold for attempts to advance russian troops.
“If we keep the island under fire control so that russian air defenses are not stationed there, then we will have control over the situation in Bessarabia and Odessa region”, – he said.
