In the village of Chapline, Dnipropetrovsk region, rescue and search operations have ended – 25 people died as a result of shelling by the Russian occupiers of the residential sector and the railway station.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko reported this in Telegram.

“Rescue and search operations have been completed in the village of Chapline. As a result of the shelling of the residential sector and the railway station, 25 people died, two of them children”, – he said.

Tymoshenko added that an 11-year-old boy died under the rubble of the building, another 6-year-old died in a car fire near the railway station.

As a result of the enemy attack, 31 people were injured.

On August 24, the occupiers launched a rocket attack on the Chaplyne railway station of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

At around midnight, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, in his address announced 22 dead, of which five people were burned in a car, and an 11-year-old boy who was in the house that was hit by a Russian rocket also died.

On the morning of August 25, it became known that the bodies of two children were found among the dead.
