The forces of the russian occupiers almost pushed the russian border to the border.

Ukrainian defense forces continued their counteroffensive north of Kharkiv and pushed the occupiers to the russian border. The soldiers managed to liberate several settlements.
This is stated in the summary of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
The Ukrainian army’s counteroffensive continued north of the liberated Stary Saltov. The russians are redeploying troops from Izyum to try to weaken the Ukrainian counteroffensive and prevent further advance north to the russian border.
“The Ukrainian counteroffensive is likely to continue to divert russian troops from deploying to other areas of the offensive, where hostilities have also been halted by a successful Ukrainian defense”, – the statement said.

Experts also predict that counter-offensive actions by the Ukrainian Armed Forces will stop russian artillery attacks on the northeastern outskirts of Kharkiv and potentially allow Ukrainian defenders to attack the russian rear.
According to experts, this counteroffensive paralyzes the offensive of the occupiers in the Izyum area, where they tried to form a ring to surround the Ukrainian forces in the Donbass.
Earlier, ISW reported that the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces has expanded even further northeast of Kharkiv, and is likely to move to the border with russia in the coming days or weeks.
However, the russian occupiers decided to hold a position on the outskirts of Kharkov. For this purpose, additional battalion and tactical groups are being recruited to the Belgorod region.
