Russia threatens new missile strikes in Ukraine / russian Defense Ministry

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine warns of the threat of further use by russia of cruise missiles from the Black Sea on military and civilian targets.

This was stated by spokesman for the Ministry of Ukraine Oleksandr Motuzyanyk at a briefing.

“Today, there are already seven carriers of naval cruise missiles in the Black Sea. Their total missile volley can be up to 50 missiles”, – he said.

According to Motuzyanyk, the danger of russia launching missile strikes on Kyiv and the region remains:

“We know about Iskander tactical missile systems in the Republic of Belarus, we also know about seven ships in the Black and Azov Seas carrying Caliber naval-based cruise missiles, which russia can also use to launch missile strikes throughout Ukraine”.

The representative of the Ministry of Defense added that none of the territories of Ukraine is protected from missile strikes, and called not to ignore warnings about the air alert.

Last week, Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said the day before that there were only 22 Caliber missiles on russian ships in the Black and Azov Seas.
