The ability of both sides to form and deploy reserve units at the front is likely to become increasingly important to the outcome of the war.

Russia is likely to be trying to send a large number of reserve units to Donbas.
This is stated in a recent intelligence review by the British Ministry of Defense.
Intelligence emphasizes that heavy shelling in the Donbas continues as Russia seeks to surround the Severodonetsk region through Izyum in the north and Popasna in the south.
It is noted that the ability of both sides to form and deploy reserve units at the front is probably becoming increasingly important for the outcome of the war.
Separately, British intelligence describes the situation with losses in the ranks of the self-proclaimed “dnr”.
Russian authorities have not released data on the total number of military losses in Ukraine since March 25. However, as of June 16, the pseudo-republic itself has recognized 2,128 servicemen dead and 8,897 wounded since the beginning of 2022.
“The level of “dnr” losses is equivalent to about 55% of their initial number, which underscores the extreme depletion of russian and pro-russian forces in the Donbas. There is a high probability that “dnr” forces are equipped with obsolete weapons and equipment”, – the intelligence said.
It will be recalled that the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson warned the British that they needed to “prepare for a long war” as putin resorted to a campaign of exhaustion.
