The Russian Federation has begun covert mobilization and intends to involve about 60,000 people in the war against Ukraine.
This is stated in the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the morning of April 4.
The enemy plans to equip the units with outdated equipment that has not been used for decades.
According to the General Staff, the military-political leadership of the Russian Federation has begun measures to covertly mobilize reservists in order to bring military units to wartime states. Preference is given to persons who already have combat experience. At the same time, privates, sergeants and officers are mobilized.
It is noted that the Russian Federation is secretly mobilizing residents of certain regions: Krasnodar Krai, Perm Krai, the Republics of Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kalmykia.
The General Staff emphasizes that the main motivating factor for reservists remains financial incentives. The Russian population is also convinced that the participants in the war with Ukraine can improve their financial situation through so-called “trophies”, ie robbery and looting.
The Russian command wants to involve about 60,000 people in the mobilization.
“The acquisition of weapons and military equipment to the wartime states will be due to the removal of obsolete equipment. Some samples are stored in bases and warehouses for over 30 years,” the report said.
At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to repel enemy attacks in all directions.
Over the past 24hrs, defenders of Ukraine repulsed seven enemy attacks in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, destroyed two units of armored vehicles, forty-three cars and an enemy mortar.
The anti-aircraft missile forces of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have hit 6 air targets in the previous day: three planes (Su-34, Su-35 and a repeater IL-22), one helicopter and two cruise missiles. As for the air control point on the basis of IL-22, it became known that the plane was damaged, the cockpit was depressurized, the pilots made an emergency landing at Rostov airfield.
Air Force aircraft continued to launch missile and bomb strikes on enemy ranges, columns of military equipment and logistics centers. Ukrainian fighters prevent the activities of enemy aircraft in certain areas, cover strike groups, bombers and assault aircraft.
