These ACS became the 5th type of 155-mm caliber artillery, which was attracted to the Armed Forces.

Polish self-propelled howitzers “Crab” 155 mm caliber are ready for use by the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the front, as well as a number of other weapons received from partners.
This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov.
“I am pleased to announce that the Polish Crab ACS is ready to carry out combat missions at the front. After the M777 and FH70, the Ceasar and M109A3 are the 5th type of 155-mm artillery we have managed to attract”, – the minister said.
Reznikov clarified that the Ministry of Defense has already provided more than 150 155-mm artillery platforms to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the Minister, the stockpile of shells of this caliber is already 10% higher than the stockpiles of large-caliber shells of the Soviet type, which were as of February 24, 2022. The effectiveness of these shells is higher than Soviet models, so less consumption.
At the same time, the Armed Forces were supplied with more than fifty guns of other significant calibers, as well as shells to them, which make up more than 75% of the volume that was at the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion.
“Dozens of Soviet-style MLRS units and tens of thousands of shells, hundreds of mortars and hundreds of thousands of shots fired at them have strengthened our defenses during this period.
As reported, Polish President Andrzej Duda said that since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, the Polish side has provided the Armed Forces with more than 240 tanks and almost 100 units of armored vehicles. According to Duda, Poland sent $ 2 billion worth of weapons in total.
