The governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, acknowledged that the collapse of the railway bridge in the region was the result of sabotage.
He stated this in his video address on the Telegram channel.
“The information has been confirmed. It was a sabotage, so a criminal case has been opened, and the investigative bodies, specialists of law enforcement agencies will investigate”б – he said.
According to him, the collapse of the bridge was discovered around 11:20 on May 1.
“An investigative team is still working on the bridge, but railway specialists have already left for the site and are ready to begin restoration work. Although it is a branch for shunting work, it is important to repair it as soon as possible”б – Starovoit later wrote.
