Enemy forces entered the Sumy region. However, last night the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck an extremely strong blow at them.
Oleksiy Arestovych, an adviser to the head of the President’s Office, spoke about this on Channel 24.
He compared the repulse inflicted by Ukrainian defenders on enemy forces in the Sumy region on the night of April 2 with Chornobaivka.
“Tonight, a very powerful blow was inflicted on those who came in the Sumy direction. There is a Chornobaivka there,” Arestovich said.
We will remind, the chairman of the Sumy OVA Dmitry Zhyvytsky reported that a considerable quantity of enemy troops from the territory of Russia came to area.
As Arestovich explained, there is a rotation. According to the adviser to the head of the Security Service, the number of enemy forces now introduced in Sumy region is much smaller than when the occupiers tried to capture Sumy for the first time.
“They will conduct defensive actions, and we will attack them,” Arestovich added.
In addition, the deployment of new troops in the Sumy region does not mean a new major threat. According to Arestovich, this was done in order to prevent Ukraine from transferring its forces to the East, as well as to keep us in tension.
