Berlin said that “Ukraine will determine for itself that it will be a successful end to the war.”

In the fourth month of russia’s full-scale military invasion of independent Ukraine, Germany is not doing everything possible to help Ukraine avoid provoking the outbreak of World War III.
This opinion was expressed by German Economy Minister Robert Habeck, reports Bild.
According to the Minister, Germany’s maximum assistance to Ukraine would mean its entry into this war against russia and would threaten to escalate – until the Third World War.
“We are not doing everything possible … we do not want to and should not take part in the war. Not only because of the fear for the lives of our soldiers who will die on the battlefield, but also because we will pave the way for global war. we are doing everything we can. But we are doing everything we can to do responsibly to help Ukraine”, – Habek explained.
Habek said that Berlin “supports Ukraine for its military purposes” and assured that “Ukraine will determine for itself that it will be a successful end to the war.”
“Successfully ending a war means not losing. Victory is an open concept. I don’t want to speculate what all this might mean, but there are many ways to end this war successfully … at some point there will be a diplomatic opportunity. this possibility can appear only when putin will no longer be able to win militarily”, – Habek said.
What preceded:
The German newspaper Welt published documents stating that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz refused to supply Ukraine with heavy weapons such as tanks and armored personnel carriers, citing agreements with NATO allies. However, since the end of March, the country has hardly supplied light weapons.
According to the list, in mid-May, Germany sent 3,000 anti-tank mines and 1,600 specialized anti-tank mines. On the other hand, the first delivery, sent to Ukraine a month earlier, included only spare parts for machine guns, lighters, detonation cords, radios, hand grenades, explosives and mines.
According to the Ukrainian side, the last delivery of anti-aircraft and anti-tank weapons from Germany took place more than two months ago, on March 25. The aid included 2,000 Panzerfaust 3 missiles and 1,500 “Arrow” anti-aircraft missiles.
However, according to the Ukrainian list of March 29, the need for these munitions still remained. The soldiers also needed anti-ship missiles such as the “Harpoon”.
On May 29, 2022, the Minister of Economy and Climate Protection of Germany Robert Habek denied the information of some media about the sluggish position of the country on military assistance to Ukraine in the confrontation with russia.
