Forty Ukrainian servicemen will take a course on the management of the mentioned artillery installations.
France will send heavy weapons to Ukraine – self-propelled artillery units CAESAR own production. Forty Ukrainian servicemen will teach their use.
The corresponding statement was made by French President Emmanuel Macron in an interview with Oueste France.
“We are very coordinated. The day before yesterday, I spoke to Chancellor Scholz about this. We supply significant equipment, from Milan to CAESAR, including several weapons. I think we must continue to follow this path. There is always a red line, which is so as not to go to war”, – Macron said.
According to Oueste France, 12 units of CAESAR will be withdrawn from the navy and transferred to Ukraine. France will also teach forty Ukrainian troops the use of artillery. And sources in government circles said that the transfer of weapons to Ukraine is “in full swing”, and new forces will appear on the battlefield “in early May”.
It will be recalled that Western partners are actively supplying our country with the weapons it has requested. Yesterday, April 21, US President Joe Biden announced a new package of military aid. It will include hundreds of howitzers and special Phoenix Ghost drones, which are designed with Ukrainian requirements in mind. The Netherlands has also announced the supply of heavy weapons to Ukraine. The list includes armored vehicles and other equipment.
