The evacuation of the civilian population, which was in the storage of the Azovstal enterprise in Mariupol, has just begun.
This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
“The evacuation of civilians from Azovstal has begun. The first group of about 100 people is already going to the controlled area. We will meet them tomorrow in Zaporozhye. Thanks to our team! Now they are working with UN representatives to evacuate other civilians from the plant.”

According to Reuters, the UN confirmed the evacuation from Mariupol. The convoy for the evacuation of civilians started on April 29, covered about 230 kilometers and arrived at the plant in Mariupol on Saturday morning local time, according to the Red Cross.
