A Russian frigate of the Petrel project 11356R exploded near Snake Island.
This was reported by the Odessa edition of the Dumskaya.
An explosion occurred on the ship, followed by an outbreak. Information about the fire on the ship appeared on social networks on May 5, the newspaper notes.
Enemy aircraft are circling over this area of the Black Sea, and rescue ships have come to the aid of the ship from the temporarily occupied Crimea.
According to Dumskaya sources, the ship was hit by a Ukrainian Neptune rocket.
People’s Deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko confirmed the frigate’s crash in his Telegram.
“You know, there is such an ‘Admiral Makarov.’ So, he also became very ill – again punished by the god of the sea. Another russian warship did not go “right”, but got enough. And I hope, in due course too it will go “where it is necessary”, – the deputy told.
At the same time, the updated data of the General Staff states that as of May 6, the russians lost another ship / boat.
“Admiral Makarov” is the third frigate of the 11356R project in the russian Black Sea Fleet. The ship is part of the 30th Division of surface ships.
The frigate was laid on February 29, 2012 at the Yantar shipyard in Kaliningrad. Launched on September 2, 2015.
The ship is equipped with REB complexes, Caliber cruise missiles, Onyx anti-ship missiles, BUK and Igla-S complexes, Ka-27PL or Ka-31 aircraft, as well as the Orlan UAV.
